Welcome New Catechumens!

Welcome, Dear Catechumens!

Today we begin a new journey together, a path that leads us step by step into the fullness of the Orthodox Christian faith. This class is not only about learning with the mind, but about being formed in heart and soul as we prepare for the sacred Mysteries of Baptism, Chrismation, and the Holy Eucharist. Our road is set before us with Pascha as the radiant goal, yet it does not end there; it opens into a lifelong walk with Christ and His Church.

In the weeks ahead, we will explore Holy Scripture, the life of prayer, the Divine Liturgy, and the teachings of the Fathers. We will ask questions, share struggles, and rejoice together in the grace God provides. You are not walking alone; the entire Church walks with you, praying for you and welcoming you into her life.

A Little about Our Class Blog

This blog is designed to be a companion resource for those journeying through the Orthodox Christian catechism. Here you will find class updates, lesson summaries, study questions, and reflections that reinforce what we discuss together. Posts will often highlight passages from Holy Scripture, writings from the Church Fathers, and explanations of Orthodox teachings and practices, always with the goal of helping you grow in knowledge and faith.

In addition, you’ll discover practical guidance for daily spiritual life—how to pray, how to participate in the Divine Liturgy, and how to prepare for the sacraments of Baptism, Chrismation, and the Eucharist. Special posts will explore the meaning of the feasts, the role of the saints, and the importance of Holy Tradition.

This blog is also a place for encouragement and fellowship. Whether you are brand new to the Orthodox faith or continuing to deepen your commitment, the material here will support your journey toward Pascha and beyond, so that each of us may live more fully in Christ and His Holy Church.

Let us begin this catechetical journey with faith, humility, and hope, confident that the Lord Himself will guide us toward the joy of new life in Him.
